On January 17, 2025, the International Experience Canada (IEC) program issued a total of 10,274 work permit invitations. These invitations are distributed across three categories:
1. Working Holiday Program (8,260 invitations): This program, which provides an open work permit, allows individuals to work for multiple employers, travel to different parts of Canada, and fund their travel expenses. This option is ideal for individuals who do not have a job offer.
2. Young Professionals Program (1,165 invitations): The work permit is issued under the supervision of a single employer and is granted to individuals who have a valid job offer.
3. International Co-op Program (849 invitations): This program provides a unique opportunity for students seeking work experience in Canada. Eligible candidates must have a valid job offer or internship and work for a specific employer at a designated location.
